The keynote of democracy is that all sources of the power of the state lie in the hands of the people. Nowadays it is the best form of government. Democracy is the government of the people, by the people and for the people. So, democracy makes the people of a country more responsible and dutiful. They will not only enjoy his franchise but also show respect to the franchise of others. The essence of democracy is of mutual respect and tolerance. Democracy and the democratic process can not be successful if the people of it are not tolerant. Criticism is there, but it is constructive and mainly for the welfare of the country and the people. In the democratic system, the press enjoys much freedom. But they too, use it with restraint. Otherwise, the democratic process cannot thrive, ours is a newly introduced democratic country. So we all should be very careful and sincere to its protection. Otherwise, the country cannot to a new area of peace, progress and prosperity. We should be careful about it. The success of democracy truly depends on the people’s judgment.
