It is a fact that a person who takes part in a resistance movement against an oppressive political or social establishment is a freedom fighter. He fought face to face with the enemies for the independence of the country. Men, women, young boys and girls fought together for the liberation of our country. Pakistani occupation forces exploited us in various ways. The heroic sons of this land stood against their oppression, injustice, and exploitation. Many women lost their chastity and millions of people were killed in the liberation war. Bangladesh gained independence in exchange for the supreme sacrifice of our freedom fighters. Many people were also injured in the liberation war in 1971. It is a matter of great regret that their life is still very struggling. Most of them have become helpless and lead a very simple life. Someone lost their legs, someone lost their hands, someone lost their eyes in the war. Someone is groaning suffering from fatal diseases. Someone lost their father, someone lost their mother, someone lost their brother and someone lost their sister in the war. Most of them are living alone losing their everything in the war. Their life is at stake now. Now their miseries know no bounds. Their miserable condition in this independent Bangladesh is really unexpected. The young generation should take care of them. The government should rehabilitee them. We should ray tribute to them always.
