Write a Report on Unexpected Fire in ‘Tazrin’ Garment Factory
Syful, Staff reporter, Chittagong; 28 March 2018: A massive fire engulfed a garment factory unit of the Tazrin Garment Factory in Savar yesterday at about 5.00 pm leaving at least 35 people dead. The cause of the fire is still unknown. Smoke engulfed the whole building and the people inside the building could not come out in spite of their best efforts. The Fire Brigade and Civil Defence Rushed to the spot immediately to extinguish the fire. The Bangladesh Army, The Bangladesh Air Force also sent their personnel and helicopters to rescue the people. Event the people From all walks of life joined the rescue operation spontaneously. After working hard for nearly 8 hours, the Fire Brigade and Civil Defence in collaboration with the other agencies succeded in extinguishing the fire. In addition to 35 dead, many were injured in the accident. The wounded were admitted to different hospitals and clinics of the city. The govt. has formed a 5-member inquiry committee to find out the cause of the fire.
